I'm Branching Out and CFC36

This is my second post today and it will be short because I need to get onto my kitchen-painting project. This card is for the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge 36 - use only black and white.  Last week I ordered some new DP from Ellen Hutson from a company called Echo Park.  Now, I'm always slow at keeping up with new trends and I'm sure some of you have used supplies from this company, but I'm getting on their bandwagon.  I bought a 6 x 6 pad of Valentine paper and totally love it.  There are designs on both sides of each piece and the paper is heavy and great quality.  The designs are wonderful.  I'm looking forward to using them on my Valentine cards.
Not sure why there is a pinkish tint to part of the white but it really is all white.  Loved this black and white plaid - looked bold and sturdy, like the tree image.  This is another image from "Lovely as a Tree".

Yesterday I attended my second quilting class  We are making a table runner.  This weekend I have homework to do for the class on next Monday.

Finally, I just made the most delicious oatmeal breakfast.  Go HERE if you like oatmeal, blueberries and bananas.  Enjoy!

Blessing from Yesterday:  Hiring someone to do repair on two rentals.

  1. Let me get this straight....you are making drop dead gorgeous cards, taking a quilting class (which probably involves lugging your machine in and out of class), AND single handedly remodeling your kitchen? Ladybug, you are my hero! You are now all the way up the ladder at GODDESS level!!! Beautiful card, my friend! Thanks for sharing!

  3. You do seem to be doing a lot Sue! I love both today's cards made with a real favourite stamp set of mine. That oak tree seems so venerable somehow and it looks great with your plaid paper. I love the line of trees in grey with just that little pop of red for the sentiment too.

  4. This set certainly is a keeper! This tree is so stately in black and the paper is perfect with it.

  5. I have no idea how you're finding time to stamp, quilt and work on your kitchen... You are just one busy gal.

    Beautiful card, love the simplicity.
